I'm a BIG GREASE FAN
I watched the show "You're the one that I want" and I was voting for Max from the beginning. I didn't know yet who was the best for Sandy but I was happy when Laura was the winner at the end.
My husband and I had a bet, and he said if Max wins He will take me to New York on Broadway to see Grease. Next thing you know it we were in New York seeing GREASE. I thought it was a Fantastic show, it was so worth it. I hope that you will bring Grease with Laura and Max on tour to Arizona. (Max hometown)
I will go again and again. Thanks and Congratulations to Max and Laura on a Great show.

I am so proud of Max and Laura. They have come so far. From the auditions for the television show "Grease: You're The One that I Want" to actually WINNING that show and making their Broadway debut. They have done so much in so little time. I applaud Max because he wasn't really used to all this, and he swore that Austin was going to beat him, but he didn't. I think that Max has proved himself as Danny Zuko. Laura Osnes has come from the Small-town Sandy to the big show Sandy. Plus, she's gotten married in the time that they were rehearsing! I think they make a great team and I can't wait to see this musical again!

I have seen the show a number of times. Each time I am amazed. All of the cast do an outstanding job!!!! Laura (Sandy) sings like an angel. Her voice is so pure and so perfect for the role!!! As for Max.....He is one of the best actors out there. He brings his own uniqueness to the role! As for his voice...He sounds alot better than others who have done this role!!! Man can he dance!!! I would love to have seen John Travolta do some of the moves that he did!
As for those of you who walked out during intermission....You missed out!!! Jenny Powers (Rizzo) version of "There are worse things I could do" was right on the money!!! She does a phenominal job!!! As for Daniel Everidge (Roger) yes, he may be heavy but, he is sooo right for this role!! He is fantastic!!! When he sings the Mooning song with (Jan)....it brings you to your feet!!
I have seen alot of shows on Broadway!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Grease to everyone!!! I guarantee it's worth it!!!!!

I saw Grease live over 20 years ago, when I was a teenager. This week I saw it again with 3 teenage girls. We also set across from a family with grade school age kids. The teens & kids were really into the play, had a great time. It's not going to win any Tony awards but for light hearted entertainment it was good. The performance reminded me of a good off broadway production.
The theater is small & intimate, the cast is talented and this new show does a decent job of blending the movie and the original play. The cast did sign autographs afterward, this thrilled the teenage girls! Overall the experience for my family was wonderful...but I didn't go to the show expecting to see an award winning musical. I went to see my daughter watch a young man (Max) she had a huge crush on from "You're The One That I Want"

If you were considering seeing Grease, I'd highly dissuade you from doing so. The music was mediocre. The choreography was boring. The acting was very much similar to that of a VERY mediocre high school production (think emotionless "I'm-reading-off-a-script"). The casting was terrible. Sandy and Danny were alright, even though Danny was terribly portrayed. But Rizzo and Kenickie were old enough to be my parents. The writers did a terrible job with the script itself. They tried to bridge the gap between the movie and the original play, and it was horrible. They should've gone either one way or the other and call it a day. There was no character development. I expected better, and I only got disappointment.

My wife really wanted to see Grease and we go into NYC about 4 times a year to see shows. We bought tickets during the finale of the t.v. show - we hadn't watched it up until that point.
We went with another couple and really LOVED the show. It was really great - so much fun. I was pleasantly surprised with Max and Laura. Max is a new kind of leading man - fun, hip and off beat. He's got a great voice. Though the role of Sandy isn't as big in the show as I remembered, Laura really makes the best of it. She's fantastic - gorgeous voice and so beautiful. We all really liked the rest of the cast too. Rizzo was phenonmenal. She's so cool and really has the era down. Her song was genius. Marty's legs steal the show!!! Again, great voice, great timing. The kid who plays Roger was great as is Kenickie and the rest of the guys. Frenchy couldn't have been cast any better.
It's definitely different than the movie - but in a good way. The theatre is the perfect size, you really feel like you're a part of the action. Great sets, great costumes. Really well done.
Max and Laura posed for photos after the show (the cast was collecting money for a Broadway charity) and were happy to sign autographs. We had so much fun - really made our weekend.
We had dinner before the show at a place on Broadway called Ellen's Diner. It's a really fun 50's style diner where the waitstaff sings. They all wear poodle skirts. It made for a complete night of fun.
HIGHLY recommended!

My husband and I were so excited to see it. The singing was bad, the cast was too old and well.. out of shape to be polite. Danny was SO bad he looked like a geek on stage. Sandy was cute and not that bad. Yes there was the one fat guy. Why would you cast him? He was VERY out of place. You just ended up laughing at him. How could you not? It reminded us of that SNL commercial for the GAP where all the chubbettes dance around.
To say it was a High School production would offend most High School's drama department's. It was literally that bad. Do NOT bother seeing Grease...
