Today, in more than twenty states around the country, people are voting in primaries or caucuses for their party's nominee for President of the United States. This is the closest thing America has to a "national primary". It is an exciting time. Will the next President be a woman? An African American man? A war hero? We will not know the real answer until November, but tomorrow (if your state is voting) you have a chance to have your voice heard; to stand up and have your opinion counted. I have spent a good part of the last few days on a train. I had to travel to New Hampshire and took an 8-hour train (there and back). I traveled to upstate New York, again, the train. It's actually my preferred mode of transportation. I'm 6 foot 3 inches - so I like that I can get up and walk around. I like that I don't usually have to sit next to someone (and when you take the slow regional to New Hampshire, you don't even have to sit in the same train car as anyone - it was like my own private adventure).
