Mario Lopez & Eva Longario / WireImage
Today I need a little challenge. There are multiple things happening on the Broadway today and I need to get you all the info quickly and concisely. Let's be honest, in this fast paced high tech internet world you don't have time to read a lot of text. You want your information quick, fast and simple. Am I right? Well, for today we will try to provide that (lord knows I can't do it every day because I like to express myself too much!). Here is the jist; I am going to try to give you all the dirt on a particular topic in only twenty words or less (not including the title - is that cheating?). Let's see how this goes. Ready? Set? Let Tuesday Topic Ten BEGIN!
Saved By The Broadway
Hunky Mario Lopez (Saved by the Bell) wants to do a B'way musical. Rumor: A Chorus Line wants his hot bod.
Tuesday Topic Twenty Count: 21
Ugh. Close. I am afraid however that I didn't convey that info accurately - I made it sound like he is going to sleep with an entire chorus line. Oh well. Click HERE to read the whole article.
No B'way for Old Men
Sold Out. Directed/Written by Ethan Cohen. Another Atlantic Theater hit. Opens Tonight. Will it move to B'way.
Tuesday Topic Twenty Count: 17
Under, but I didn't even use the title (Almost an Evening) because it was too many words. If you want to find out more about Ethan Cohen (director of No Country for Old Men) and his new play click HERE.
Like Mother Like Daughter/Like Father
Her mom is Meryl Streep. Her dad is David Naughton. Mamie Gummer and Keira Naughton open in new play at Primary Stages. Chips off the old blocks!
Tuesday Topic Twenty Count: 27
Boo, Bixby. I just can't help it. When you get into full names the game is lost. The jig is up. That being said, I still have to plug the show called Hunting and Gathering by Brooke Berman (buzz is VERY good). Click HERE for more info on the show.
Ouch!
Lily Rabe is out of Crimes of the Heart (being directed by Kathleen Turner). She is hurt with an injury. Get well soon!
Tuesday Topic Twenty Count: 23
The "get well soon" put me over the top, but, hey - I had to leave that in. She hurt herself! For more info on this exciting new production of Beth Henley's play click HERE.
Everyone's Playing
Start playing the new game: What Theater? What Show? The Neaderlander and Circle in the Square need new tenants. Discuss.
Tuesday Topic Twenty Count: 20
Right on! But, let's forget the word count. What shows do you think will go into these theaters? Buzz is that [title of show] may take Circle in the Square and that Next to Normal might go into the Neaderlander when Rent closes. Who knows? Who knows?
Gold Statue Anyone?
The Academy Awards will be announced today. Can you say Sweeney Todd? Fingers Crossed. Update you tomorrow!
Tuesday Topic Twenty Count: 17
Rock on! Way under. I guess that is what happens when you just "tease" a story. Click HERE for more info on the Oscars.
UPDATE/UPDATE/UPDATE - Johnny Depp received an Academy Award nom for Best Actor! The movie did not, however, score a Best Picture Nomination. (word count does not apply here).
Suzanne Pleshette Dies
Best known for role on The Bob Newhart Show. She died on Friday from lung cancer. She will be missed.
Tuesday Topic Twenty Count: 20
It is hard to believe that she will be gone. A truly lovely lady. Please take a moment to read this article by Mo Rocca on Ms. Pleshette. Click HERE to read.
Well. That was fun. I am not sure how successful I was, but it was fun. I am going to see if I can carry this on through out the rest of my day and limit responses to questions with only 20 words. Oh, who am I kidding - I could NEVER do that!

I could sum up Mario Lopez in one word: NO. AC Slater on broadway, stranger things have happened. 20 words or less is great ,but I need your expressions back!! Any extra words you have on a subject can be used on another one, how is that??? Thanks for the updates!
Good work Bix. I dare you to try all alliteration. You can do it!
Alright, AHmom, Bix and I want to know who you are! Do we know you? Come clean :)!
If I tell you, it will not be as exciting as you think. I SWEAR to you. Am flattered you think you might know me, that means I might be a tiny bit swell???
Swell? I am committed to building up a fan base for my brilliant Bix, and I couldn't have picked you better myself. We have pondered on your identity, and WILL NOT be denied!!:) I look forward to your posts daily. The only thing (toe kicking the dirt, head down) I hope you are not someone I was a queen B to in high school - I had a real bad attitude :) Regardless, I now love you unconditionally, as long as you will have me, and together we will catapult our illustious playwright into the stratosphere, or blogosphere as it were!
