I love a good rumor and have I got a doozy for you.  This week the NY Post's Michael Riedel (we [heart] Michael Riedel) dropped a sweet bomb at the end of one of his articles this week.  He indicated that not only was the show The Drowsy Chaperone NOT closing, BUT that the producers were in talks with a B'way legend to step into the show come January.  Who is this big star, you may be asking?  None other than LIZA MINNELLI!Yes, you read that right.  Rumor has it that producers have been courting Liza with a "Z" to guest star in The Drowsy Chaperone.  I have to say - I think this rumor is a big crock!  Drowsy is not doing great business (Bob Saget has helped ticket sells only minimally...

One of the most highly anticipated films of the holiday season (at least for theater lovers) has to be Tim Burton's big screen adaptation of Sweeney Todd starring Johnny Depp.  You have seen the trailer (click HERE if you haven't), you have seen the photos (click HERE if you haven't), but have you seen Johnny singing?  I don't think you have. The big question regarding the upcoming film is, "can Depp sing?"  Well, this clip circulating the World Wide Web gives us all a little sneak preview of Mr. Depp's vocal talents.  Click HERE and take a listen and judge for yourself. IMHO (in my humble opinion) he sounds pretty good.  Not great, but not bad either.  I worry that the Sondheim afici...
